PhD Student

BS, Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong

MS, Bioengineering, University of Pennsylvania

Zitong is interested in developing flexible, high-channel-count neural interfaces for long-term electrophysiology and brain state monitoring. Her current work combines chronic in vivo recording, stable unit tracking, population-level neural analysis, and device design to study how distributed neural activity evolves over extended timescales. She is especially interested in using continuous recordings to capture temporal structure, perturbation-induced state changes, and recovery dynamics that are difficult to observe in short experimental windows.
