Carter Kelly

Research Specialist

BS, Neuroscience, Tulane

Carter engineers tools for implanting flexible, microscale neural probes in humans, non-human primates, and other animals. At the mesoscale, he designs machines that fabricate unconventional neural probes and deposit metal films outside a cleanroom.
Recently, Carter and collaborators used these tools to record from human temporal cortex, non-human primate visual cortex, and small-animal spinal cord.
