My research is focused on the intersection of bioelectronic medicine and neurodegenerative disease, with a primary focus on developing a next-generation vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) device. Unlike current treatment options, this technology is uniquely designed to simultaneously target multiple core elements of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) pathology, including neuroinflammation, amyloid-beta plaques, tau tangles, and overall systemic inflammation. The foundation of this device lies in a patent-pending fabrication process for clinically-relevant high density neural interfaces. The technology is backed by in-vivo animal data which validate precise neurostimulation capabilities. Ultimately, my goal is to enable meaningful improvements in patient outcomes for Alzheimer’s and other complex neurological conditions.
